Anyone have a licensed copy of Win XP they'd like to donate to free my sister from the tyranny of Windows Vista?

XP or 7? I have several copies of XP laying around, but I don't know which once aren't installed somewhere (eg, I don't know which ones are technically legit). I can get you legit copies of 7 tho.

7 is quite a good operating system, I have to say. I like it much better than XP.

At least as of a couple of years ago, Microsoft would legally allow anyone to downgrade from Vista to XP by choosing the 'activate by phone' option and explaining over the phone that the customer was downgrading.

No idea if you still can! But it might be worth a shot.

For the record, no one in seattle should pay retail for MS products. I'm sure you can find someone who works at MS or knows someone at MS if you need to buy a new copy. :-)
