I really love Gordon's writing. I gave Aaron an autographed copy of his new book for his birthday (unfortunately, he misunderstood my request and dedicated the inscription to me instead of Aaron-- oops).

I liked this essay very much. Thank you for posting it! I especially liked his metaphor about straining against the Gospels and the canon, and winding closer to the truth through those tensions. There's something in that, I think...
