Here's To Productivity

First I want to say congrats again to my wonderful love, and her new job!

I've noticed I actually feel better when I've had at least a somewhat productive day. How do ya like that? Well, despite barely leaving the house today, it's been pretty productive.

I'm getting back into the fold for grad school and I'm doing it head first. In a step that's relatively new for me, I've contacted the head of the Psych department and requested a meeting. I used to be afraid to do something like that.

This year, the grad school process is expanding. Rutgers is easy for me, as the application's pretty much finished, so I can focus my attentions elsewhere as well. Right now I'm looking mostly in New York - namely Hunter, New School, and Fordham right now. I might look at NYU, even if I'm not sure I can get in. Also going to shoot for Kean I've decided and even spread out to the Philly area as a last-resort sort of thing. No offense to Philly people as the area is great, but my life is grounded in NY/NJ right now, and I'm very happy.

Recently I've also revisited the script for This Movie Sucks!, done a little editing, written a treatment, and am preparing it for sending out to different production companies. I think Rogue Pictures is the best bet, maybe FOX. Drew's been great in giving me feedback for my treatment. Also, tonight I finished the treatment for the sequel. Honestly, I could go pretty far back and forward with these characters and if (BIG IF, but never say never) these two scripts get picked up and well-received, I've already started to storyboard a between-the-two comic mini-series and an origin story. It seems I can do everything with my writing except perform it, so I might as well give it out to someone who can.

On the music front, thanks to Steve for showing me Guitar Pro. So, I'm thrilled that I can put together my own compositions. Already started with two songs - one co-composed with my love and Steve that I haven't posted the lyrics to yet, but Steve got really excited about. We've started playing it and it's coming out really well. :) The lesson with that I think, is that you can have a foundation and do wonderful things with wonderful people...and if the end product doesn't sound exactly like you heard it, at least you know that you had the foundation. :) Look for "Drivingsong" soon. :D Steve seems to be more antsy about performing than I am, so when we have some stuff that we can work through, maybe (JUST MAYBE...not going to do what I always do, make things seem so certain and never follow through) we'll have some kind of an acoustic night or something. Or maybe just jam together and that's awesome too. :) I just kinda miss being on stage.

Speaking of which, I have a friend who is officially auditioning for community theater, and I don't know if this person wants to make it known. So wish him/her a broken leg! :)

That expression still doesn't sit right with me.

Anywho...I guess this is all I have to say. Peace!
