Way ahead of you, Doc

Nov 08, 2014 18:23

I had my second appointment with the shrink at Mid-Erie (the counseling center) Thursday.  I should have taken the copy of my test results my CD counselor gave me (which the doctor ordered), because he didn't have it until the end of the session.  He asked me to tell them what the report said (yeah, forty individual tests, and I'm supposed to ( Read more... )

Thank you, Bill. This has been strange at times. As Ray told me Sherlock would say, "Too many variables - you can't deduce anything!" So it's hard to say what one thing is doing the trick, but I'm glad something is!

I get the role of the curamin. I noticed today while swimming that I have considerably more range of movement in my neck, which is amazing.
I'm not taking Sam-E. I'm transitioning from Paxil to Cymbalta. As far as my mood is concerned, I still don't know how much is attributable to A) lessening in pain, B) new antidepressant, or C) reducing my dosage of BP meds (depression can be a symptom of low BP).
Who knows? I don't, and I don't care! :-)

When you get to a point where you feel like you can shop for a new primary care doctor who listens and understands you and doesn't talk down, I encourage you to do so. I've spent another year with my primary care doctor who is well meaning but triggers me about my weight and exercise stuff, and honestly: I deserve a better fit than this, and not to be miserable about my appointments. So do you, seriously, you do. Mind you I know it's painful to look for a new doctor. But I'd say please consider it cuz she ain't been a good fit for you for a while, right?

Thank you for your thoughts. I am going to start asking around again, because this woman is ridiculous.

Glad to hear you're on the mend. :)

100/60 is about my cutoff point when I'm into dizzy and sleepy land.

Vitamin D is amazing!

93\64 is definitely too low! when i was younger i used to get light headed and sometimes faint if i stood up too fast, because my blood pressure was low. no fun there.

vitamin d makes a big difference in getting me thru the winters without having to raise my antidepressants. hope the new one works for you!

Thank you! So far, things are going very well.
About vitamin D, the doctor said he sees people in nursing homes who have excellent levels, while others who work outdoors are in the pits. Weird, isn't it?
