After over 25 years up here (Sandpoint), I have yet to find a really good guide. I have "Wild Wildflowers of the West" by Edith S. Kinucan & Penny R. Brons, a small, spiral bound book that is probably not in print any more, and the Audubon Society's Western Forest, which has good information but sadly covers everything from Alaska to California as well as the Rockies, so you spend a lot of time paging through stuff that has nothing to do with our region.

Every western or PNW wildflower book seems to be coastal centric. When I do native plant searches for this area, I end up having to look under eastern Washington AND Idaho, and see what overlaps. Bah.
