Winge Time...

Well as usual I like to provide some commentary and stoopid things I see on TV. This time, once again it was current affairs. Some woman was booked to have a plane flight and she ate something, had an severe (read life threatening) allergic reaction and was rushed to hospital ( Read more... )

i half agree and half dont about your single mother part, yes i agree there are some ppl cheating the system, and 40k a yar is a fair amount. But i myself have been a tax payer my whole working life so far, and have again started to work, but thats becoz wayne is working from home, if he wasnt here, i would have to stay home to look after bailee, and yes bludge of centrelink for a few years till she reached school, where i could then return to work and continue paying tax, knowing full well i would be supporting someone else who has just had a baby. There has been new laws introduced, that when your child is of school age u must start to look for work, which then there is another problem, what job gives you from 9 till 2 and 8 weeks a year holidays, yes there is day care, sure u get 30% back, but for those on low income they will be working to pay for the child care of before and after school, and then be left with what to feed, cloth, and put a roof over their head. Some ppl keep having kids, so they dont have to work, and get the ( ... )

You make a valid point, and I do agree it is somewhat unfair for me to paint all mothers in the same light ( ... )

Generally those who have little maturity also have low incomes, so kind of works out the same. Maturity is also somewhat related to age, so same point also.

Unfortunately its too bloody easy to make babies, so stoopid people do it without thinking about it. And seriously if you're under 25 and pregnant, surely the only choice should be abortion or adoption? Not many people are married at these ages, and usually the father nicks off in time anyway. Anyone who thinks the guy is going to stay around are seriously deluding themselves, particularly those under 18. They are still a child themselves!!! Why the hell do they think a guy is going to stick around?

see im only 20 and had bailee at 19, my friend danielle was pregnant at 16, had jess at 17, is married to the dad and have a nice house, investment home and on over 100k a year, yet another person i know is 19 due next may, has nothing to her name, the dad and her arent together, and all she does is winge, and i cant stand it, i totally agree, she is far from ready to have a child. Me and wayne arent on high income, and with the help we get from centrelink, we make do just fine, roof over bailee's head, food in her mouth. I chose to keep bailee coz i was told i couldnt have kids, if i had gotten rid of her, and then could never fall pregnant again i would have hated myself. yes i was young, and it all crossed my mind, but the feeling u get when u have a baby growing inside of u takes over, i never liked kids, but then i had one inside of me, and u suddenly forget all logic. The maturnal instinct kicks in, i wouldnt trade her for all the money in the world, she is my life, and as hard as it is at times, finacially, or mentally, or ( ... )

Believe me, I see your situation differently - I've never heard or seen you have the attitude of "I'm having a baby, and I expect the community to support me", I think thats the biggest difference - plus the fact you spend time raising your child and actually seem to know what hygiene is unlike others.

Also, I do realise that the good stories barely get known, and its always the bad parents we all hear heaps about, which would of course distort my view on the isssue.
