i personally was pissed off at the lack of character development... it was harry potter 4 for those with add. I mean the books are dumbed down enough to extend to all of society, but when you cut out all relationships between characters then what have you got?

Not much, really. It was an action movie. Or a good introduction to the actual book. The charm and humor of the books was gone, and I even noticed scenes cut out: when hermione and ron are leaving the ball, she is saying things like "youve ruined tonight, ron" and all that, and we never understand why or how. Noone in the theater seemed to notice. The only thing I will give it credit for is how sweeping some of the pan-outs were- but thats not what I wanted to see, I wanted to see the school. Where the book takes place.
