Czech Mates had a big weekend. We played the autism benefit. Pretty good size crowd, maybe not our target audience though. Sunday we shot that TV show that Kasey hooked us up with. Last night Andrew told me Jonathan Richman was playing in Albany tonight. and so i got out of work at 3pm, and by 3:30 we were drivnig there. we got there a little after 7:30 and saw Vic Chesnutt and Jonathan Richman, who's voice was almost gone but was still beautiful. Because of the media uproar surrounding Bill Bennett last week, on Monday I decided to buy that book Freakonomics. What a fun read! It threw out alot of the conventional wisdom we have in our society about everything from gun violence to public school testing to how black people name their children.
