Canada is technically a state in that it's a pseudo-soveriegn (damn you governor general) chunk of land.. which is part of what defines a "state" when you're using it to refer to something like "the Greek state" or "the Vietnamese state". That said, this person is still a fucking moron and I want them to get hit by lightning..

yeah, someone who studies polisci would say it IS a 'state', meaning 'soveriegn nation', but i think this yo-yo is thinking 'state' as in 'Oregon' or 'Florida'
