My ex had that disorder. He told me but I was reassured of it when I read his military files. He would be so violent and then a second later would cry and tell me he loves me. There's this book about it that describes living someone with the disorder as "walking on eggshells." And that's the way it was-I never knew when he would just snap.
If you think you have it go get checked out. The criterion can nearly describe anyone but when they're extreme and affect someone's ability to function normally then it becomes a diagnosis. But what is "normal"?
