This too too solid flesh

I am appalled by the way that we cling so desperately to life. It fills me with despair to think that we have no higher value than the base biological urge to perpetuate the number of hours we spend grubbing about in this spot of dirt.

I used to deny it, but I must admit that I'm scared as shit of death. The idea of having to repeat life here on earth in continually more debased forms is horrifying, too, I must admit. I have no idea what "hell" would be like, however. Not having been raised Christian. I think I dodged that bullet.
