I use the words coupla, c'mon, gotta, and gonna often.. should I just break down and add them to my dictionary already? Why or why not?

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you consistantly spell them ...err...incorrectly? :)
Though it might be weird if it 'corrected' your correctly spelled words to the slang terms in an important document. :)

You've got a really good point, but I was thinking of only correcting them in my LJ dictionary. I don't write too many formal, important documents here :)
