Please note that she is way more hip than I am and has taken way more drugs. Which is not difficult, but still.

We moved to Oakland! But yes, I am ashamed that I've never read Tales of the City. I pretty much only read in the sci-fi/fantasy genres these days.

You know what, it's probably because you didn't have this several-year-long period of thinking you were the only queer in a hundred-mile radius and therefore reading every queer-related book you could find as a substitute for actually talking to anyone.
