Elsa ate all my mice.

My mice are gone, and that jerk rat is dead in a box in the garage.

I have a house to myself for the next 6 months or so. Well, myself, Elsa, and the gliders.

Reading livejournal entries makes me feel disconnected from the world around me. I know who all the characters are, but I have not interacted with any of them for a long time. It's very

Bad Elsa!
Poor little micies. They probably lived a lot longer than they would have otherwise, anyway.

No interaction. This is true. Empty houses can be good. Parties to be had.

no parties, but the house is much cleaner than usual. Also, I always have a clean spoon when I feel like eating cereal. The empty house is kind of cool. Somewhat empowering, really. Elsa and the gliders really warm the place up, so there's no feeling of loneliness. Just space to stretch out.

You can always do what we do down here in dork-land, and call up a friend or two, make food, share some wine from the outlet (half-off, YEAH) and have an otherwise silly time.

Or, just lose yourself in Quake 2.

Both are interesting, the first one's just a bit less mentally draining.

Oh, and bad, bad mouse-eater! Bad!

wine! surely you jest. I'm straightedge as ever, sister(which still causes problems, but they aren't mine).

As for Elsa, it's her job to eat mice. They gave their lives so that she could enjoy hers.

I don't mean to be contradictory, really I don't. I appreciate that people take a few moments to acknowledge my existence.

I have felt the same way. One of these days I'm coming to Ames and I'm gonna bring presents. I saw a Yanni t-shirt at RAgstock yesterday and thoguht of Jeff. Is Yeti still together? You guys should play some shows in Iowa City sometime. Who still works at COK? I miss that place. It was so silly there. Bye bye.

nobody works at COK anymore but Mike and me. The entire crew has changed. I must admit, I miss your spitting-on-the-floor antics. We totally plan on trying to hook up a show or three in Iowa City after we're done recording -- we hope to be done before April. Know any sweet venues there? I don't think I've ever been to a show in Iowa City.

YEAH YEAH YEAH!! Sweet venues all around. There's Gabes, which might be shutting down soon but I don't know. There's also the Greenroom (nice), and The Yacht Club. The Yacht Club is in the basement of a building. It has a small stage. I'll look into what it takes to get a show at these places and if I can get a show for ya's. I'll be your one man street team too!!

Ah.. I miss the COK so much. The COK jokes just don't translate well with these people. They don't understand.
