If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Well, that's hard...... It's a cross between two things. I guess I would change Health Care. Too many people die from easily cured diseases like the common flu because they don't have insurance or can't afford the medicine. Also the aids/HIV epidemic is getting WAY out of hand, considering the fact that the disease can be prevented and stopped at an early state. Although it’s never officially gone people could live a longer life. No one in Africa is educated on the fact of how aids can spread and they have ridiculous theories on how to get rid of aids. Any hoo, I would really like to change the Health care system because as I said too many people die from diseases that could be prevented or stopped. Also, the other thing I am torn between is poverty. It makes me soo upset to see all the poor and homeless people in the world. I wish I could spend every penny I own to help those in need (re: not to be mean but not the drunken fools that got themselves kicked out onto the streets on purpose.) I believe that every occupation should have a salary cap at some point, because people are getting paid way too much these days. I mean it's disgusting how much some people these days get paid. There are so many homeless people and people on welfare. Seriously maybe if we weren't so particular as to whom we pick for jobs then maybe there wouldn't be as many "poor" people out there. If we made a salary cap we could afford to hire more people and there would be more money to spread around. Although however much I wish to change these two problems by changing them a new problem will occur to balance it out and that problem could be worse.
What makes a person respectable?
There are many different attributes in what makes a certain person respectable and many different people with different personalities in which a "respectable" person appeals to. They are many forms of respect. One may respect a peer for their popularity, or their cleverness. Some respect others for their knowledge and some respect others for how they look or carry themselves. For me, a respectable person is someone with self confidence, someone who can stand up for what they think and is not afraid of a little criticism. They may not be a friend to me but they make what they can with their life and build up their name to what it can fully stand up to. They live life to the fullest and never regret what they did in the past. Also a respectable person to me is someone who is loyal to their world and doesn't manipulate a situation to make it look better on their side.
What do you look for in a friend?
In a friend I look for someone who is loyal and is always there for me when I need them. Someone who will listen to you when you need to say something and will share their feeling with you too. A friend is someone who will cry with you when you are sad and cheer you up when you are down. A friend needs to be trustworthy and someone who I can confide in and they will confide in me too. A friend should be fun and amusing. They don’t have to necessarily believe in them, but they should understand my beliefs and customs. And most importantly a friend to me must be tolerant to others, I hate when people shun others away just because they aren’t “cool” or “dress a certain way.”
What are your hobbies?
I have many hobbies. I like to go to school and push myself full out. I enjoy in my spare time creating figures out of K’Nex or Lego. I like listening to music of any genre and watching television. I enjoy playing with my friends and hanging out with them. A new hobby of mine is creating icons on Adobe Photoshop. I really like going out to places and shopping. I like to work because I never like to have an aimless day. I have a habit to talk about others in good and bad ways to peers and criticize others on little things. I like to feel accomplished at anything I do…. And I love reading/watching/listening to Harry Potter themed materials.
Have or would you give time and money to a charity?
I have helped out with charities and yes, of course I would again. Currently my family supports a child through world vision. I have donated money to the Steven Lewis Foundation and in my school I co-started a drive to help the victims of the tsunami and help raise money to build a school for underprivileged children. I love to help anyone that I can because I hate the feeling that I should have done something more. I live by the saying “what goes around comes around” and I know by helping others one day when I am in need someone will help me. Also I love the feeling that I made someone’s day or by donating 7 dollars I saved a child’s life. There are many different ways of helping people and this is my favourite.
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?
Like most people I thrive for wealth and success but not just for selfish reasons. I wish to help those who are in need and help out well founded, non scamming charities. I wish to hold a very caring family and establish a decent life for my children. Above everything else though, I wish to grow up into a thoughtful, charismatic, generous… person. I hope to be confident in my self and to build up strong relationships with those who I love. I wish to be a person that people will look up to and not be afraid to talk to.
Who is your role model?
At the moment none. I look up to certain people but they aren’t my role models of that makes sense. They are just people who I go to for help. There are those who inspire me like Gandhi, Harriet Tubman and Albus Dumbledore. Although that sounds weird (and I know that Albus Dumbledore is a fictional character) I respect these people beliefs, their wisdom and their generosity to always help others. Each of them thrived to save others lives and to do so in their own, individual way. They didn’t care about the opinions of others and always stood up for themselves.
What trait most annoys you about other people?
There is not just one trait that annoys me the most about a person, there are many. See there are many flaws in everyone and each person is different, therefore different characteristics annoy me the most about different people. I hate it when people are intolerant of others for no specific reason or when others flash around things you don’t or can’t have just in spite of you. I hate dishonest, manipulative people. And I really don’t like it when people bully others for popularity of publicity, or as I’m on this topic, when celebrities (or normal, everyday people) create scams for publicity.
What do you want to do for a living?
When I am older I would like to be a Family Lawyer or Social Worker so that I can help children in need get away from abusive, demanding parents. I have seen what a rough childhood can do to a person; it either makes them a strong adult or a very timid, insecure person. Sometimes even children grow up abusive too because they don’t know any better. I would like to stop that before it becomes too big of a problem to handle.
If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do?
I would first do anything I could to make their situation a little more comfortable, and then I would put pressure on places if needed. I would quickly find someone to call the ambulance, I would call myself if I had to but I would rather stay with my friend because I know how uncomfortable it is to stay with a stranger in a time of suffering. When the ambulance arrived I would ride along side with them and then inform their parents if they hadn’t been already. Finally I would bring my friend treats to make them feel better (assuming they survived) and stay by their side the whole time it took for them to recover. Although this whole situation is assuming that I was with or near them when the attack occurred. If for any reason I wasn’t with them, once I found out I would rush it there aid with there favourite things and comfort them all the way through their process of healing.
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason?
Only if I had to. I am not a mean person that would just walk around the streets shouting Crucio just for the fun of it like Bellatrix. I would only ever, ever use an unforgivable curse if I or someone I knew had their life threatened and I had to, to protect myself or others from dieing.
