Name: Tanya
Age: As ancient as the stars, as young as the morning dew.

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? Make sure that everyone learns empathy and respect. Empathy is the ability to understand and place yourself in another person's feelings. If more people practiced empathy, there would be so much less hatred, bullying, crimes, and other things like that in the world because the perpetrators would be able to see from their victims' points of view. This would automatically lead to more respect.
Who is your favorite Hogwarts teacher? Professor McGonagall. I like her gentle wisdom. She is kind, but definitely not a pushover. She is brilliant, but not arrogant.
Who is your favorite character in Harry Potter? Hermione. I like her bookworm ways. I admire Professor Dumbledore more (he's just awesome), but with Hermione, I can more easily place myself in her position and wish for the fresh view of youth, and the time to study as much as I want.
Who is your least favorite character in Harry Potter? Draco Malfoy. His cruelty for no reason other than being cruel is so distasteful. He definitely lacks in empathy.
What makes a person respectable? Having a lack of selfishness.
What is your take on religion? I am a practicing believer. I'm all for religion.
What do you think about house elves? I feel bad for them. Most seem to be abused. That is no way to live.
What do you look for in a friend? Outgoing (to balance my introversion), intelligence (I love discussing many topics from politics to molecular biology, from anthropology to physics), kindness, funloving, adventurous (so we can travel together and have fun exploring life).
Would you rather have friends and family or money and success? I can't have both? I honestly don't know and hate these sorts of questions. The non-shallow part of me says "friends and family", of course. Loneliness is a miserable thing. Part of the joy of life is sharing experiences and, well, life with others. However, money and success provides the means to explore the world. Success also can give you confidence that you are making a difference in your chosen field. So I'll just say I want it all.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I'd be thin. Yeah, it's a shallow, duh answer, but it would mean I could explore the planet with greater ease and could more easily attract guys.
What do you feel is your best quality? Intelligence. I learn quickly and easily and love to do so.
What are your hobbies? Reading everything I can, writing stories and essays and other random things, ummm, reading, travelling, and uh... reading. Yeah.
Do you want to have children? Yes. I'd love to adopt older children and/or sibling groups and have them be a part of my family.
Have or would you give time and money to a charity? I don't have much extra income, but I do like volunteering my time. I've volunteered for a political campaign and for Red Cross Disaster Services and for my church. I like contributing to parts of the community that are important to me.
If your friend was attacked [by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast], what would you do?
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish? Perfection. Even if it is perfection in just a few areas and not overall perfection, I would like this.
Who is your role model? No one. I admire different aspects of many people (someone's outgoing joyfulness, another's wisdom) but there is no one person who I look to a majority of the time and try to emulate them or admire them that much.
What trait most annoys you about other people? Stupidity. Everyone is different as far as mental capacity goes, but when someone is stupid because they chose to be that way when they could be so much more, it drives me nuts. Any one with the ability to read all of this lives in a place (and time) where information is available with minimal effort. It is so easy to educate ourselves. I don't expect everyone to have a burning desire to learn physics just because they have access to that info, but it is surprising how learning about the topics that interest us lead us to a greater understanding of life, our planet, and our fellow human beings.
What do you want to do for a living? Be a writer.
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason? No. I don't have that right. It is simply unethical and immoral.
What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? Pass...
What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities? Intelligence, love of learning, kindness to everyone, ability to spend too much time daydreaming and yet give reasonable answers when daydreaming is interrupted by questions, creative.
