If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Picking just one thing to change about the world is way too hard. I suppose I might have people read more - I think it's important to expose yourself to many different ideas, and if people did that we might have fewer conflicts and problems.
What makes a person respectable?
This depends on whether you mean "What makes a person worthy of respect?" or "What makes a person proper?" To me, the first question is much more important. Propriety is dependent on cultural and societal values, and has very little bearing on a person's worth. There are a lot of different reasons to respect people, but I think most people I respect fit into at least one of these categories:
1) People who think deeply about things
2) People who care deeply about people
3) People who take risks to act on what they believe is right
What do you look for in a friend?
See question above - one of the most important things to me in a close friendship is being able to respect my friend. I also look for people I share interests with, people who make me laugh, people who are wise enough to offer good advice, and people who are able to be supportive when their friends are going through tough times, which I think requires both empathy and resourcefulness.
What are your hobbies?
Reading to excess, singing, playing the piano, dancing, knitting, writing, and programming.
Have or would you give time and money to a charity?
Yes, I think it's something everyone should do if they're able.
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?
I would love to be able to make a major life-changing decision without any doubt that I'm making the right decision. In the realm of things I have more control over, I'd like to get something I've written published.
Who is your role model?
I have a lot of role models, but the one I feel like writing about at the moment is the algebra and technology teacher from my middle school. It's been seven years since then, but I still consider Ralph Remillard to be one of the best teachers I've ever had and one of the best people I've ever met. He was incredibly intelligent and funny, but more importantly, he managed to make self-centered thirteen-year-olds want to do what is right and be good people. He also had a great deal of respect for his students, which is unusual in a teacher, and expected the best from them both academically and morally. Incidentally, Remus Lupin reminds me a lot of him, and I've never been able to like the actor who plays Lupin in the movies because I can't picture anyone but Mr. Remillard being Professor Lupin. :-)
What trait most annoys you about other people?
People who never take the plastic smile off. Almost everyone has a facade that they present to strangers, but I like to see people relax and be genuine as much as they can.
What do you want to do for a living?
Oh, goodness. That's something I really don't want to think about (graduating from college all too soon), but I'm leaning towards writing, editing novels, or designing software.
If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do?
I hope I would have the presence of mind to either go get help or identify something really useful to do to help , but I have a horrible feeling that I would just jump in and act on instinct, which isn't always very useful.
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason?
Let's put it this way: I hope I wouldn't want to, but I really hope I would be able to if it was necessary.

Courage: The ability to do what's necessary even when you're afraid.
Loyalty: Sticking with a person or idea you believe in even when others abandon it.
