  • What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why?
Probably in the Ministry, in any one of their subunits where I could explore whatever took my fancy as an apprentice. I'd love to work in the Department of Mysteries as an Unspeakable. The whole place seems so enigmatic and dark, like there is so much more to be developed, so there'd probably be some kind of taboo about joining. Either that, or working in the Department of International Magical Co-Operation, with opportunities to travel or meet wizards from other countries.

  • If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why?
Potions, regardless of the Snape-factor. I find Potions class to be useful and important, because you can learn to create elixirs and mixtures that have the ability to save lives as effectively and easily as spells can. There's also a certain element of adventure that goes along with potion-making, in what goes into obtaining and finding the ingredients which I think is fascinating.

  • This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not?
While I'm not so gun ho on dragon fighting and mermaid dueling, I do enjoy a good adventure with lots of thought and strategy, so I probably would put my name in the Goblet. Also, The TriWizard Tournament only comes around once, and the opportunity is too great to turn down.

  • If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why?
An eagle. Flying is one skill I wish humans were born with, so that they have the ability to just completely fly away from stress and worry. Birds also have an air of thoughtfulness and enjoyment of solitude, which I share.

  • If you could be written into any HP Series book as a new character, which book would it be, and who would your character be? Why did you choose that book/character?
I'd like to have been a 1st or 2nd Year in the fourth book, to have seen so much courage and integrity and have experienced so much in one year. I think it would have inspired me and made me more knowledgeable about the Wizarding World.

  • What is your favorite magical spell/charm? Why?
Expecto Patronum, because it shows that even the weakest person has a great strength inside them. Plus the animal symbolism is interesting.

  • Name three reasons why you would like to be sorted into each House.
Ravenclaw: academically challenging environment, wit and intellectual humor, probably a sophisticated view on loyalty and honesty.
    Gryffindor: courage, bravery and integrity
Hufflepuff: humble and modest, and therefore a lack of egotistical people, friendliness, universal acceptance
Slytherin: logic and strategy, strong history and importance for tradition, not easily fooled

  • You've received your O.W.L results. What are your results? (You have to have failed or done poorly in at least one subject)
    Arithmancy: A
    Astronomy: E
    Care of Magical Creatures:: A
    Charms: O
    DADA: E
    Divination: P
    History of Magic: O
    Potions: E
    Transfiguration: A

  • If you could have any superpower - but only ONE - what would it be?
I'd want to breath underwater. I've wanted to be able to do that ever since I was a child, simply because I love the feel of gravity loss and floating, and because the ocean is a completely unknown field of the Earth's surface, and having the ability to explore it at will would be amazing.

  • What HP character do you identify with most and why?
Honestly, I identify a lot with Hermione. I've always been a bit of a smartie and have always been made fun of for it. Regardless, I have some great friends and I can stick up for myself, just like she does. I also have big brown hair... so I suppose we have that in common too.

  • What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
I'd see myself older, happy and more sophisticated, with an Order of Merlin and a good life with friends and family.

  • If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it?
I'd travel the world with as little as I could, living in hostels and home stays, and then put a good amount into savings and buy my family a small house in the country with the rest, to thank them for everything they've done for me.

  • Which HP book is your favorite and why?
My favorite is the fourth book, The Goblet of Fire, because it introduced something completely new in the TriWizard Tournament. It also brought new schools and characters into the book, which expanded the idea of the WIzarding World. The book also dealt with more mature ideas than 'good vs. evil/Harry vs. Voldemort', such as how to deal with death, and heroism.

  • Which HP book is your least favorite and why?
I didn't have much for the fifth, Order of the Phoenix. Though it dealt with some important under grumblings in the Wizarding World, I felt it didn't do much for the full Harry Potter story. Most of it was just waiting around hoping Fudge would realize Voldemort had returned, with some added hormonal goodies.

  • What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now?
My ideal job as a kid was a successful writer. I've always love writing, especially novels. It's changed much now, because I've realized that becoming an award winning writer isn't something you can automatically become. Now I want to be an english teacher or a journalist, using that as a touch point to work on my writing later in my career.

  • If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it?
It would be some sort of animation spell, Animatus, to make drawings, sketches and the like come alive. I imagine there is some kind of spell like it that already exists, which painters use to animate their portraits to make them living and interactive. I feel the spell would be useful for such artistic purposes, and also for simple reasons of entertainment.

  • If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus?
It would turn into some sort of illustration of failure. Perhaps ripped up books, or shredded homework. When I cast Riddikulus, those pages would form some kind of... white rat circus. I've always like that idea...

  • What do you look for in a friend?
Honesty, a sense of humor and a certain level of sophistication. Those are the essentials. I sometimes get ahead of myself, so I need friends to keep me in check, to laugh with, and also to talk to me about important things. I like people who I can have honest debates and discussions with, but still have thousands of inside jokes with at the end of the day.

  • What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?
I've always wanted to write and publish a novel. Above all things in my life, that's what I've wanted to do. Even if it isn't necessarily successful, to have a completed text under my belt, would help me live satisfied.

  • What trait most annoys you about other people?
Falsity. Unfortunately, I know a lot of people who are not truthful with themselves or their friends and it just creates a mess for everyone. I hate seeing people who are different to everyone they know. I feel like it's confusing and hurtful to everyone else.

  • What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
I'm very compassionate, but that's something of a two-edged blade. I'm also funny and easily humored. It doesn't take much to make me laugh and I strive to make others do the same. I'm pretty adaptable too, I can have a completely adult coversation, and switch to goofing around for my friends on a dime. I also have a lot of self-discipline. I get what I need done so that I can enjoy myself.

  • What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
I've been told I'm quite a know-it-all at times, which is quite true. I'm also quite blunt and opinionated about certain things and don't let others have their say. I'm very indecisive and contradictory.

  • Define in your own words the following key traits:
    • Courage: the strength of/in one's bravery or confidence
    • Loyalty: sticking by someone because you believe and trust in them
    • Intelligence: the process and capability by which you naturally learn things
    • Ambition: want and desire for something that would make you better in your own eyes

  • Name: Tamara
  • Age: 16
  • What house do you think DOESN'T fit you? (This question is optional for those who feel they just DO NOT fit in a house. Please explain WHY.) Gryffindor. I'm not all that physically brave or righteous.
