- What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why?
If I could choose a job in the wizarding world, I would like think I would be suited for teaching. I love to learn things, teach other people things, and I understand the responsibility that teachers have. Without teachers, every one would be ignorant to the world around them. However, I don't know if I would be able to tolerate kids goofing off all the time, I think I'm a little too serious for that. It is much more likely for me to work in the Ministry Of Magic in a department that worked with muggles. I am a very persuasive person and mesh well with people who are very much unlike me. If some huge act of magic were to erupt into the muggle world, I'm sure that I would be able, with the help of my colleagues, to sort the mess up fast. Possibly even avoid using memory erasing spells.
- If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why?
If I could teach one class at Hogwarts it would be Care of Magical Creatures. There are so many other classes that teach spells, jinxes, and how to defend yourself against other wizards, but only Care of Magical Creatures teaches about dangerous creatures that you could quite possibly encounter on your trips around the magical world. Without it, you would be helpless against any strange creatures you came across. Or even worse, what if you happened upon a creature that looked completely harmless but turned out to be a vicious man eating creature? I believe that care of Magical Creatures is a very important class, it would be an honor to teach it.
- This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not?
I would never put my name into the Goblet for the TriWizard Tournament. I am not a very brave person, and even if I knew everything I could ever learn, I have trouble recalling information under pressure. The TriWizard Tournament has the biggest consequences. The whole school is depending on you, and you could fail them. Not to mention, you could die.
- If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why?
If I had the choice, I would probably choose a hawk. They have excellent eye sight, and mainly can fly. When I was younger, that was the only thing I wanted. To be able to fly, unassisted by anything. Plus, they are very fast and vicious when they hunt. I admire that. If it were what creature I am most like, I'd have to say a snake. I'm rather bad tempered, and snappy at times: when I'm hungry. I'm very easily annoyed, and not too shy to tell anyone that is annoying me. Though, if the people around me are nice and caring, I a very docile person.
- What HP character do you identify with most and why?
I identify most with Ginny. I don't have half a million older brothers, but I am the youngest of all the children in my family. She's very clever and always has some amusing quip to battle Ron with. My brother and I fight similarly. He is also very protective of me, even more so than Ron. I've always been babied, just as Ginny was.
- What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
I would see myself just as I am, my brother holding a up a completely clean criminal record, and my parents would be in the background, completely happy. No tension between them what so ever, or any illegal substances. What I want most is just for a safe, happy family.
- If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it?
I would invest most of in different places (don't keep all your eggs in one basket), and put some away for my education. The interest that a million dollars would collect would be enough. Anything left over I would use to pay for any of my parents medical bills, because their health is deteriorating.
- What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now?
As a kid, I wanted to be a marine biologist only in the summer, a fashion designer, and whenever I wasn't designing, I would be a hairdresser. While those careers still appeal to me, I believe that I would have a more rewarding and reliable job as a judge. I understand that I would have to be a lawyer first, but I'm not nearly as interested in being a lawyer as I am being a judge. If I could help the justice system that would be the most rewarding job I can imagine. Not to mention the power judges have. They command authority. I think I would be a very unbiased judge.
- If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it?
I would like to create a potion that completely (for 122 hours) rids the user of any nasal congestion or any other symptoms associated with allergies. I would personally use it every 122 hours, because I have persistent year round allergies. If it was very successful with very few side effects, I would market the product to other allergy sufferers. It would be called Rinkomashin, because it sounds like a medicine. It would come in two varieties, flavorless and banana.
- If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus?
A boggart is the materialization of your worst fear, but considering my worst fear could not be materialized with one person, the boggart would turn into my second worst fear. Pewee Hermin with a knife. When I was younger, I had a dream that he tried to kill me, and in the end cut my mothers hand off. Ever since then, just the sight of him makes me cringe. When I threw the counter-spell on the boggart, it would turn into a leaf. Mostly because Pewee Hermin is pretty ridiculous on his own, and because a leaf is one of the most unassuming things on Earth. Unless of course, they're the kind that can cut your fingers.
- What do you look for in a friend?
I look for a sense of humor, someone that isn't too crazy or annoying, and someone who won't immediately judge me by what I say. I need someone that understands me, because some things I say are a little unpredictable, and unless you know what I'm talking about they seem irrelevant or super strange. I really enjoy making people laugh, so I need someone with a good sense of humor that will laugh at my jokes, no matter how corny.
- What trait most annoys you about other people?
The trait that most annoys me in other people is when they always have to be better than everyone else. When people live their lives with that "better than you" attitude, I can't stand it. Anyone who when you talk to them always has already done that (and did it better) or are going through worse troubles than you.
- What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
1. I have a great sense of empathy. I know that empathy comes from knowing the experiences, and sympathy from imagining what they'd be like, but even if I've never experienced something, I am very empathetic. When I watch television, I can sense when one of the characters is about to get themselves in to trouble. I have to change the channel because I cannot watch them just get into trouble. It makes my skin crawl and my heart sinks.
2. I am a very open minded person. Things that other people would hear a little bit about and decide on, I ask for more information so I can make an informed decision. My views are very open, and I live with the motto "People can do what ever makes them happy, as long as it doesn't hurt other people". I believe that motto pertains to everything. And if not happy, than people should be able to do what they think is right, as long it doesn't hurt other people.
3. Little things are the most important to me. I appreciate them so much. A little hand made card is so much more wonderful than some expensive store bought gift. Though, if someone goes to the store and they see a little something that reminds them of how much they care about you, buy it, and give it to you, that's so wonderful. I notice the little things, and it makes me more appreciate of certain things than most people.
4. A very important quality to me is honesty. I am very honest, and believe that the truth is best, even if it hurts. Although, if the truth will really hurt someone I care deeply about, I try to lay it on them thinly- hinting around the subject until they get it themselves. I appreciate people being honest to me, because I will always be honest to other people.
5. My intelligence is probably my strongest ability. I am able to pick things up by just hearing or seeing them (mostly). I catch on quickly, and I hold a lot of knowledge. Not that knowledge and intelligence are even close to the same thing.
- What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
1. I am very very sarcastic and pessimistic. I even tried to be optimistic, but it didn't work. ("I'll take a walk /and twist my ankle!")
2. I am sometimes a little too honest. I can tell by people faces that the whole truth was not what they wanted to hear.
3. I'm a very safe person. I try my best to avoid risks at all costs. Before I do anything, I analyze the situation, and if there is a slight chance that the odds are against me, I usually find another way around it. This keeps me from doing a lot of things, things that any normal 14-year-old wouldn't think twice about. Like spending the extra hour analyzing graphs and finding the slopes.
4. I have a very "Worst Case Scenario" type of mind. When the children I baby-sit parents aren't home the second their suppose to be, I begin to worry. Did they get in a car accident? Are they dead? What will I do with the kids? How will I contact their family? I'm a worrywart, and I wish I wasn't.
5. I'm horribly lazy. Just today I did an hour of work and took a two hour break. Luckily, I am very responsible, and got my work done. I wish I wouldn't procrastinate as much as I do because then I wouldn't have to worry as much as I do.
