- What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why?
I would try to have a career in the Wizengamot or otherwise law institution, I have an interest in defending and dissecting facts, and if I may say, finding ways around a statement. Eventhough, I wouldn't attempt to be an auror or other investigating professions, I don't like having to find out a 'truth' myself (probably because I believe that it's terribly subjective), I rather work with something already decided for me.
- If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why?
Potions, especially medicinal ones. I've been thinking about incorporating alchemy and ancient medicine to brew potions that would be more potent than the ones the Wizarding World have access to right now. At that, I probably would also consider teaching combative and/or tactical magic.
- This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not?
No. Because it would be too much physical work, while I'm not the hero or otherwise basking in limelight type. Not interested in dying anytime soon, anyway.
- If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why?
a Gorilla. Because I have a gorilla stuffed toy that's the only thing left from my childhood, and I suppose I must have been happier in those days.
- What HP character do you identify with most and why?
Some said that I reminded them of Hermione Granger for my dedication to study and my apparent intelligence (which I may or may not agree, really), but I detest. I found her lacking subtlety and grace. While of course she has many admirable traits, personally I don't like how she tries to change the things already there, whether the Elves' rights or another person's way of thinking.
Other than that, I have no particular person that I identify with, although I somewhat symphatize with some of the Slytherin students (or rather, find myself a bit angry for the obviously Gryffindor point of view in the books).
- What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
.. I want to see me, in a happy family, with someone already deceased to come back and the other one to return.
while I realize (just when writing it) that it's disturbingly potterish, I can't make myself wanting something else more than that, so I apologize for the lack of originality.
- If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it?
Give a good chunk to my family and buy an apartment, then invest the rest. Probably giving a part of it to charities, I'm thinking UNICEF.. because frankly I care more about children welfare than other causes.
- What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now?
I think I wanted to be an archeologist.. I've been fascinated with ancient civilizations when I was little, the gods, the mystery. It changed, however, and currently my ideal job would be a successful graphic designer/ illustrator because my mind easily convert anything to visuals (even people talking), and already have few illustrations published.
- If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it?
.. I had a homework in another Hogwarts community about making/ inventing charms, and I must say that my favorite from all is the 'Kneeling Charm'. It literally forces someone to kneel before you, it destroys moral and humiliates the ones subjected to it and can be used to hostages, enemies and with consideration, subordinates. Although the other spells I made are probably more practically useful, I just love that spell *grins*.
the name is Perstadiruel. From latin 'persto' that means standing/ firm stand and 'diruo' that means destroy, so literally "break (the) standing"
- If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus?
a giant, glistening, red, gurgling with blood.. worm.
riddikulus... something, like a lizard, or gila monster with pom poms and hula skirt. a pink glittery cow with angel wings would do, really. or a tap dancing doughnut.. I'm definitely having too much fun here.
- What do you look for in a friend?
Intelligence, the ability to coexist and cooperate knowing everyone is different and respecting the need of personal/ emotional distance. Also knowing where to leave personal matters alone and not being nosy or otherwise 'curious' and forcing someone (me) to open up when I'm obviously not comfortable to. Can appreciate and understand dark humor and sarcastic/ cynical comments without reading too far into it.
- What trait most annoys you about other people?
Stupidity, as in talking without thinking, letting themselves being taken advantage of/ being trampled upon, being crass or otherwise foul mouthed (I swear on occasion, but only when seriously angered or distraught, not like.. say.. in every sentence *rollseyes), being nosey, drama queens (or kings), then perverts and the ones that feeds them to sickening point.
- What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
I'm observant, I'm intelligent enough, I'm good in diplomacy, I have good taste and artistic streak, and I'm fun in the daredevil/ burn everything kind of way.
- What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
- I'm selfish, definitely, probably mostly because I don't trust anyone would be bothered enough to defend/ fight/ help me. So I learned to put myself first.
- I'm cynical, especially when confused, angry, sad or other 'pleasant' feelings. it kind of makes communication hard because I'll retreat to that defense mechanism.
- I'm 'ungodly competitive' (a professor's words, not mine),
- I keep grudges, and,
- I'm irredeemably vain.. especially about my hair. I like the mirror, yet never satisfied with what I see. I'm trying to get myself to the point I like what I see there.
- Define in your own words the following key traits:
- Courage: .. most of the time, foolish, but it's admirable however, taken into account that the person doesn't jump head on without proper knowledge of the situation. Courage is needed to make a change, first I would make sure if I want that change.
- Loyalty: Loyalty is trust, long time to build and very breakable.. but when hardened and solid, can make miracles (.. in example making someone like me to die for someone else).
- Intelligence: something that God doesn't give equally. Atleast I'm trying to remember that before lashing at anyone for being stupid.
- Ambition: something that gives you motivation to excel. For some reason it's hardest for me to come up with something for this one, because it's .. natural. Like it's already supposed to be there so I don't question/ need to define it anymore.
