(no subject)

  • What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why? I think I would most like to work at Hogwarts, either as a teacher or as a librarian. Just to be apart of and contribute to the well-being of that amazing school would be an honour. Hogwarts just seems like an ideal place for me to work, because I’d love to be able to interact with the students and share my knowledge. I quite admire Professor McGonagall, so to be someone like her is really what I would strive for.

  • If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why? I would teach Transfiguration, because the subject has always interested me. I think the teaching of it is very hands-on and it would always remain interesting and exciting. I love the idea of being able to change one object into a completely different object.

  • This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not? No, I would not put my name into the Goblet, because honestly, I don’t think I have quite the amount of bravery required for the Tournament and I am not a big risk taker. I believe I would feel much more comfortable cheering on our champion from the stands with my friends.

  • If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why? I would choose to be a cat. Apart from being my favourite animal, they introverted and mysterious, much like me. I have always thought that if I were an animal I would most like to be a cat, even when I was younger. I suppose I have always just identified myself with cats.

  • What HP character do you identify with most and why? I think I would identify most with Luna Lovegood. She’s a bit of an outcast and a non-conformist and doesn’t care what other people think about her. She just spends her time doing her own thing, and I see a lot of myself in her because we’re both okay with that. Luna is also a dreamer, for when she enters a room JK often describes her as looking “so dreamy that she might have walked in by accident.” I can relate to that because I often am staring into space and daydreaming when I should be paying attention.

  • What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised? I would see myself surrounded by my friends and family, living the fullest life I could lead, with no regrets and no worries. I would love to be able to live with no regrets and no worries, and live a full and happy life doing what I love with the people I love. I think that is what I would see because that is what I would like my life to be like.

  • If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it? I would definitely donate a fair amount to a charity I care about, such as one relating to the environment or the well-being of animals. I would buy my parents a nice retirement home on the beach for when that happens, and I would put money away for when my brother and I go to college. Of course, I would probably indulge in something nice for myself, but I would not buy a ton of things I do not need.

  • What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now? My ideal job as a kid was to be an artist. That is still my ideal job, but I am not sure of which kind of artist I would most like to be. Photography interests me quite a bit, as does theatre and painting. I am just sure that someday I would like my profession to have something to do with the arts.

  • If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it? It would be a spell to clear your mind for when you need to seriously think something through but you have far too many ideas running through your head. Kind of like a pensieve, but this spell would be for on-the-go when a pensieve but would be unavailable. It would be called Perspicuus Mentis.

  • If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus? I think I would see what Mrs. Weasley sees: My family dead before me. I am terrified about losing my family and I wouldn’t know what I would do if any member, let alone all, died and I was left alone. I cherish and love my family to pieces and to lose them would be the worst thing.

  • What do you look for in a friend? I definitely need someone with a sense of humour. If I am not able to share a laugh with you, I can’t see us being friends. I also look for a person I can put my whole confidence in. Trust is a big issue with me; I need to know that when I confide in someone they will keep my secrets. I also look for someone with the same interests as me. I think this is important because if two people do not share any common interests there is not a lot they can do together to both have fun. Loyalty and intelligence are important, as are optimism and kindness. I need someone who can have a good time, but who can also be serious when the time calls for it.

  • What trait most annoys you about other people? Arrogance is a trait that annoys me about others. I hate when people are so big-headed and vain that they think they are just the greatest things to ever walk the earth and they are entitled to anything they want because they believe they are superior to everyone else. Ignorance is another big trait that drives me absolutely insane.

  • What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
    Kindness
    Sense of humour
    Intelligence
    Individuality
    Optimism

  • What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
    Sensitivity
    Mood
    Shyness
Not thinking things through all the way
    Spite

  • Define in your own words the following key traits:
    • Courage: Having courage is being able to face danger when every part of you wants to turn and run away.
    • Loyalty: Loyalty is being true to the ones to whom you swear alliance. To be loyal to someone you must stay by their side through and through and never turn on them.
    • Intelligence: I think of intelligence not only as having book-knowledge, but also common sense and having a good concept and idea of the world and being able to think things through clearly and eloquently.
    • Ambition: Ambition is what pushes you to achieve a goal or a desire. You cannot truly achieve something unless you have ambition to do so.
