- What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why?
I grew up with a father that owned bakeries and donut shops, so I naturally have loved baking my whole life. Based on this, I think that I would enjoy owning a shop or bakery of wizard foods. I think this idea has a sort of simplicity and pleasantness about it. I could also see myself owning a wand shop. I think that wands are very interesting, and I have always been into crafts. I could picture myself learning every detail about the types of wood, feathers, etc. that would be used in making each wand. Each ingredient contributes to the overall effect--and each wand is unique. I guess the whole "the wand chooses you" thought attracts me.
- If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why?
I would love to teach Divination. While the subject itself is so unclear, I would love to research and find more structured ways of predicting the future. I find myself even now finding more factual ways to explain unknown things. I have taken an interest in divination as a practice, and find it truly interesting. Did you know that reading tea dregs has actually been used to predict future events? Based on the placement of the cup and the larger leaf pieces, you can tell the outcome of events that will befall you. Look, I'm teaching divination already! ;)
- This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not?
I would love to. I believe that I have the intelligence and physical ability to complete the challenges that would be given (said in the most non-pompous way possible!). I have a strong competitive nature (almost to a fault, I guess), so I could not see myself resisting a chance to prove myself. I would also take into account that I would only be chosen if I was deemed adequate to compete against others for the TriWizard cup. This, however, would not stop me from hyperventilating before the competition!
- If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why?
If I could be any animal, I would chose some sort of bird as my animagus form. I think that, despite the rap that birds get (hence the term 'bird brain'), they have the capability to be very intelligent and swift. I have always had an affinity for birds and flying since a young age. There is a sense of serenity to birds, a delicate and almost mysterious quality to them that I would love to replicate.
- What HP character do you identify with most and why?
I identify very closely with Hermione. I would consider myself intelligent, and academics are important to me. In addition to her intellect, she also gives logical and sound advice to her friends. She is always looking out for others, and when forced to, chooses the well-being of others before herself. Hermione also makes the occasional sarcastic remark, which is always entertaining. I believe that all of these characteristics relate to me and my personality.
- What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
I would see myself performing on Broadway. I love to sing, dance, and act. I have been a strong musician since I was young, and it has been a great passion of mine since then. I would love nothing more than to be a successful performing artist, doing what I love and being admired for the work I put into my performance.
- If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it?
I tend to worry about my families debt more than my own parents do. Because of this, I think I would love to pay off the debt we have, and finally be cleared of worry. I would probably then spend some of the money on new practical things--a more reliable car, and invest a good portion in stocks and mutual funds. My brothers are both autistic, so I also find autism awareness to be something my money would support.
- What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now?
Being an astronaut has always been a career choice in mind for me since I was little. I have always wanted to explore a territory that nobody else has ever been to. This job was specifically for the best and brightest of the world--and I was ready to step up and be one of those individuals. I have since discovered the arts, and have found great influential power and emotional outlet through them. I hope now to make a career out of this, and want to perform for others for the rest of my life.
- If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it?
If I was able to create a potion, I would make one that would leave you unaffected from lack of sleep. One third of your life is wasted while sleeping, and I think that a majority of that time could be used doing more productive things. For instance, I should be doing homework now. Instead of doing this homework, I am filling out this survey of sorts for all of you to read. But, with this newly concocted potion I would create (called Slumbernix... as in nix-ing slumber) I would have ample time to do the survey and my schoolwork--with plenty of time to spare!
- If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus?
I am scared of the dark. I would assume the boggart would turn into an encompassing black mass that would blind me (doesn't that sound nice?). Once I said 'Riddikulus', a light would turn on, and a big group of people in party hats would scream 'SURPRISE'. Hopefully they could manage re-starting my heart, because I'm sure the darkness would almost kill me.
- What do you look for in a friend?
I look for truth. I expect the truth from my friends about everything, because I strive to have close relationships with all of my friends. If I cannot be sure that someone is telling the truth, I won't tell them anything of importance. With a lack of truth and trust in a friendship, none of my feelings and goals could be shared. Don't be mistaken, I love to have fun and laugh... but I don't like having relationships set primarily on having a "good time". I expect support and encouragement from a true friend.
- What trait most annoys you about other people?
I get really annoyed when people make a statement about others, but lack the facts or reasons to back up their statement. Many students in my school have a tendency to do that, whether they're making remarks about race, gender, or sexuality. I just recently heard someone make a statement about how AIDS was the "gay disease". How can you specifically pinpoint a certain group for a disease that the whole world is suffering from (especially without facts or an argument to back up such a ridiculous statement)?
- What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?

1. My low self-esteem (I've tried not to make that apparent in this application!)

4. I have trouble trusting people, and get paranoid quite easily.
5. I want everything to be perfect, and feel like I have to take the leadership position to do so.
