- What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why? I'd like to write for The Daily Prophet. My career goal is to become a journalist and so that would probably be logical. I'd just try to be honest in most of my articles since that's something the Prophet isn't known for, ha.
- If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why? I'd teach history of magic. I love history and although history of magic is considered one of the boring classes I'd like to prove that it doesn't have to be. I'd want the kids to know that history can be fun, exciting, and really interesting. Especially when teaching about magic, how it was founded, and things that happened throughout time. just like with our history of wars I could teach about the first and 2nd war, Albus Dumbledore being a hero, Harry himself...etc.
- This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not? I probably wouldn't. I'm not much of a dare devil. I prefer to sit back and watch. I'm an observer and analyzer after all. I'd probably just freeze up and let the dragon get me! I think there was a dragon at least, I don't remember much from GOF.
- If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why? Hm, I've never really wanted to be an animagus. I love being human and being an animal in my opinion would never be as satisfying--having to depend on people although they couldn't speak my language. But I'd have to say a dog. No, not because Sirius was a dog but because I love, love, dogs. Dogs are so kind and always innocent of the bad things in the world and they sometimes get to eat people food. Or at least mine does. ;)
- What HP character do you identify with most and why? Ronald Weasley. I rpbably identify most with him because I'm content (for the most part) with being in the shadow of my friends. I'm not the genius and I'm not the brave one, I'm more of the backbone. In Ron I see someone who is earnest and stubborn--just like me. I always mean well although a lot of the time I get angry quickly if things don't go my way and I'm a bit set in my ways. I think Ron is like that too and it's why I love him because I see myself and I cna relate to the impulsive things he does, why he's so sarcastic and sometimes mean--it's a defense mechanism. I have the same ones.
- What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised? What do I desire most? Oh, I don't know. I'm pretty lucky...I really can't think of anything. I don't think this is exactly not answering the question but more of I am content in who I am right now with what I want. It's a nice feeling, a year ago I'm sure this answer would've been different. I don't yearn for world peace or materialistic things I just want to be happy. So that's my answer I'd see myself staring back smiling.
- If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it? A house for my mom and I, spoiling my dog, animal protective charities, college fund for myself and my cousin Antonio, put money away. Oh and travel, I really want to backpack through Europe someday my friend Lacey and I are planning it. This way my mother wouldn't be so worried because it wouldn't be dangerous, I wouldn't be so broke doing it, haha.
- What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now? As a kid I wanted to be a veterinarian. I thought that because I was so good with dogs that it automatically meant this was my chosen career. Then I found out vets dealed with all animals not just of the dog variety so it was like "um...no thanks." I want to be a journalist so it's changed a lot. I love to write, love current events, love the idea of being able to impact the world through my writing.
- If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it? I don't know...all the good ones have already been invented! I'd create a Felix Felicis type potion that could be used whenever I desired not just sparingly. I'd like to be lucky all the time, although I'm lucky already as mentioned earlier. I'd use it to help me with writer blocks and being so "boy challenged" as I call myself.
- If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus? What do I fear? Wow I'm not scared of a lot of things because I don't think of things that scare me. Probably some kind of zombie. Eek, yeah. And when I cast the counter-spell it'd turn into my dog, Rory.
- What do you look for in a friend? Trustworthy: I like friends I can trust to not tell all of my secrets. I like to feel comfortable around my friends and not like I have to monitor every word that comes out of my mouth.
kind: It's always nice to be around those who genuinely care about others.
funny: If you can make me laugh my terrible laugh (it's really loud and I might even snort!) then you will be my friend forever.
sarcastic: One of my best friends, Andre is the most sarcastic person I know. Some people may find sarcasm annoying but I find it endearing.
not afraid to make a fool of themselves: I'm uptight enough by myself, I like my friends to be crazy and wild something I'm often not.
someone who's not fake: I've had SO many fake friends until it makes me want to tell them a few things just thinking about them. I don't need that again >:o
Mostly though, someone who won't stop talking to me out of the blue one day that's happened to me a lot. It hurts although I'll swear it won't, I hate those types of "friends."
- What trait most annoys you about other people? Liars, backstabbers, fake people, and people who intentionally bring other people down whenever they can. Those are the vilest traits anyone can have in my book. I stay away from those people I've had plenty of them in my past and they only made me like them.
- What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities? Sense of Humor: I'd like to think I'm funny in an offbeat kind of way.
I'm unique: I "dare to be different" and do what makes me happy. I don't follow the crowd.
Opinionated: I think too many people my age are very apathetic about their surroundings. I'm opinioted and socially and politically aware of the world around me I'm not mean but I say what I feel and how I feel. I'm not afraid to challenge someone if I think they're wrong.
My Ability to Forgive: If someone hurts me but is sincerely sorry and says so I'll forgive them in a heartbeat. I don't hold grudges, I don't "harp over spill milk" I move on with my life and live it to the best of my ability.
My overall personality: I think I'm a pretty cool person. I like myself and who I'm becoming, it took my a long time to get here but it's true. I love who I am, I've reinvented myself from the person I was two years ago. I used to be a shy, passive girl afraid to do anything or say anything. I was constantly aware of what people thought of me until I just...wasn't living. Now I do what I want and say how I feel, I'm still nice but I'm not idle. I'm not cruel nor do I intentionally hurt people's feelings but I'm not afraid to make my feelings known and do what I want. Maybe it's wearing the bright eyeshadow or buying the dorky CD...I do what I want, without worrying about how others will see me.
- What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?Gossiping: I can be a gossip sometimes, not nearly as bad as I used to be but still. It's not a good quality and can hurt people.
Egotistical: I sometimes hold myself to a higher being than others. I can get a little pretentious and act as if I know anything when I definitely don't. I tend to think I'm better than others because of stupid things.
Shyness: I'm very shy unless I know someone well. I'm getting better at coming out of my shell but in no way do I enjoy being the center of attention. I'm more laid-back as my dad would like to say but my uncle told me I need my own reality show, lol. But really sometimes my shyness can hold me back and leave me going "I wish I would've..."
Spoiled: I'm spoiled and I tend to think I should have something when I ask for it. I don't think there's anything wrong with being spoiled but sometimes I can be a brat and forget that I could be less fortunate. It can sometimes be one of my bad qualities.
Insecure: I'm very insecure although I hide it well most of the time. It's something I'm trying to fix but all of all my weaknesses/worse qualities it's the hardest one to overcome. It's something I don't realize and that holds me back from doing a lot of things.
- Define in your own words the following key traits:
- Courage: Doing something you thought you never would be able to do. Like talking to someone who intimidates you saying how you really feel.
- Loyalty: Sticking by someone through thick and thin.
- Intelligence: Making good decisions that influence your life positively.
- Ambition: Having goals and dreams, being able to see the hardwork and not just the outcome.
