Back from the concert... and he is unbelievely amazing. Konstantin is so much better than that guy who performed last year (which might explain the need to buy tickets this time round, 'cept I have the priveldges of being a music student =]).
He played a lot of pieces tonight, and I didn't get a program so I couldn't keep track. I do remember him playing Schumann's Fantasiestuke Op. 112(?), Chopin's Etudes and Polanaise, Bach, Mozart and Rachmaninov. And a Wagner/Liszt...? The Tristant and Isolde one... I can even begin to describe how wonderful his playing was---. He has the biggest hand and longest fingers~☆
I noticed he had really good precision and clarity, even while constantly using the pedal. There were a few smudges note-wise, but that's to be expected of a live performance. His beautiful playing inspires me. If only I didn't have to do this damn assignment, I could sleep peacefully...
(I forgot to mention, because he's from Russia, he said something to the audience I couldn't pick up, then a second later I realise it was "Thank you very much!". So cute~)
