This very sobering post has inspired me to consider my own zombie prepardness / survival prospects.

At the moment my primary concern is if zombies are capable of operating the not-inconsiderable amount of military hardware in the Washington, D.C. area. Or, alternatively, it some foolish zombie-fighter will misuse it, as in your example of fire in Atlanta. Washington also has a history of being flammable.

I feel a need to point out to any potential zombie apocalypse survivor bands that I would be a *great* addition to your numbers. I can make new clothing out of old clothing. I can propagate plants from cuttings or seeds (which I can also gather). I know how to preserve food. I've raised rabbits for food. I can bake in a camp fire. I give good backrubs (avoiding zombies makes survivor band members tense). I know how to ferment many things into healthful, tasty foods that will keep your digestive system working well on the run. I can make bread using nothing but natural, air-borne yeast.

I'll keep you fed, clothed, and regular. Count me in.
