Why? Are people that fucking stupid? Shit everyone from Jersey knows about The Jersey Devil and how the Devils got their name. Hell, anyone who has ever watched an episod eof the X-Files has probably heard of the Jersey Devil.

Well, I've not heard about the Jersey Devil, but I *still* think this is stupid. And you know, this is why I'm uncomfortable having people of strong faith (of any faith, really) serve in public office. Because you're not being paid to preach, or to bring up stupid motions that have more to do with your religious convictions than any quantifiable "public" good. I mean, I just can't believe that the name of the hockey team is one of the more pressing issues that would merit a private member's bill, and yet, here we are.

Especially when we have rotten politicians in all ofthe major cities, one of the highest crime rates (auto theft) in the country, one of the highest real estate markets (so unbelievable that people are being forced to leave the state - PA bound) and generally get raped and live in fear of our own Auto Insurance companies that we blindly pay for accidents out of pocket). That doesn't even take into account the poorer school districts and racial/finacial diversity issues.

He he maybe they should change the name to the Jersey Teamsters?

Seriously, I agree with you re: politicians and religion. We have the separation of church and state for a reason. Not that Dubya seems to know that, of course.
