Six Feet Under

Spoilers for That was a near perfect season premiere as far as I am concerned. I loved almost every second of it, and I immediately felt connected with all of the Fishers - it's almost as though no time has passed since last season.

I particularly liked what I thought was a return to more classic relationship boundaries. David and Keith continue to be one of my favorite television couples - it's nice to see them during what I'm sure will be a brief spell of relative content. And Brenda and Nate - so in love, and yet so completely dysfunctional, even now.

Not crazy about Claire/Billy, but I like that there's still a lot of tension and issues between Claire and Ruth. As far as Ruth goes, I totally felt for her - caring for someone that mentally ill and "out of it" can't be easy, and you could just see her feeling so completely helpless and resentful at the same time.

My heart ripped for Brenda and her miscarriage, especially when her inner dialogue with Dead!Lisa! revealed just how deep her self-loathing still goes.

All in all, just about perfect. I'm so glad my dead gay show is back. *g*.
