Its, cause the cool shape doesnt leave enough room for the strings to get a lot of resonance and harmony from the body. You need a bigger guitar.

I doubt you dig Metal style guitars beause they pointyness just makes them ugly, but they do sound the best. You should probably get a

or if you want a hollowbody, Ibanez makes great and inexpensive hollowbody guitars
