Mt Airy
Mt Airy is far away. It takes forever to get there by Septa, and a fair deal of time even by car (depending on the time of day). It is a place that I strongly dislike. Yet, many of my activities cause me to end up there at least once or twice a week, if not more than that.

This is aided by the fact that the drexel library has the first season on DVD and NBC has a few second-season episodes online. I would love Daniel Ladinsky's poems a lot more if he wouldn't try to pretend that they have any firm relation to Hafiz or ghazal's at all. Bearing *some* relation or drawing-inspiration-from, perhaps, but translations they are not! However, they can be stirring on their own. List of Things that are Awesome
1. Yesterday I ate a cucumber. Today I ate an avocado. Both with a little bit of salt. They were both the most delicious things ever.
2. The Butterball. Great music and calling. Old and new friends intermixed with dancing strangers.
3. Playing with The Contraptions. They are the most amazing people ever! I don't think this will ever get old.

computer
New computer came today. Dododo! (that was excited singing in case you couldn't tell). It is so ridiculously small and light. I can take it anywhere!
Windows Vista is... weird and makes me uncomfortable. But I was able to get SPSS running on it (with a bit of wrestling). I wasn't going to do this so soon, but I already shrunk down the windows ( Read more... )
