Waking up younger wasn't so bad for Sam. At least this seemed to be his own body, and he wasn't in Paige's again, something he thought both he and Paige should be grateful again. "I'm a cowboy," Sam thought it should be explanation enough for anyone. The costume, the gun, the hat and boots. "Actually, the stereotypical representation of a cowboy, idealised over the years. Really, it was propagated by early movie television westerns more than anything, but the image has stuck through the decades, just as the image of the native north american as an uneducated indian or savage has stuck with us as well, despite many campaigns and education to the contrary."

It was surprising that someone recognised him so readily, especially when he didn't know who he was talking to, running through the women who it could likely be. Not Paige, or Karen, or Ainsley, or- "Meredith? Mere? You're young you too? Isn't this great?" He immediately forgot any dismay she might have had at being shot at with his cap gun, "we have to get you a costume. Maybe an indian princess? Then I can rescue you."
