Okay, seems like a good a time as any to post information on the greenhouse.
Starting way back, Yorda got some seeds from an item rain and just general scavenging around the city. Ed and Al being the awesome alchemists they are, made the greenhouse and a lot of the soil that isn't full of nasty poisons and death.
So to start with...
Greenhouse Location: Mariner High School Roof.
Caretaker: Yorda
Current Condition: Good. There are a few broken panes which have been covered with wood or plastic or sheet metal; whatever Yorda can usually find but for the most part it's in a lot better shape than most things in Discedo.
Plants grown in greenhouse:
Apple trees - 2 (one is small and doesn't produce much fruit, the other is quite large as Razor was kind enough to make it grow)
Pear tree - (small and doesn't produce much fruit)
Fig tree - Given to Yorda by Neferti after an item rain. Small, and produces a reasonable amount of fruit
Discedo giant elephant tree thing: Massive trees grown from seeds given by the scientists. These trees grow rapidly and give off a citrusy sort of fruit that look like avocados. There were once sixteen, the number dwindled to zero when Prydain burned them. Yorda made him help her re-plant the seeds collected from the fruit and there were about 14-15 of them. Then during the acid rain and now it's up to three thanks to two late-blooming fruits.
Grape vines: Seeds received during an item rain. The grapes grown are pretty sour and not really edible.
Watermelons: Self-explanatory. Yorda's favourite food. Seeds received when two watermelons fell out of the sky and nearly killed Yorda.
Carrots: Seeds found in a convenience store. Most were dead but Yorda managed to find a few that would grow. Good for your eyes. A little hard to chew, but fine if you steam them.
Potatoes: Found with the carrot seeds. What's taters, precious?
Strawberries: Given to Yorda by Sakura (I think?) after an item rain. Tart and delicious, their growing season is quite short.
Wheat: Received during Yuuko's chip removal. You can make anything with this.
Soybeans: Good for just about anything, from replenishing soil to replenishing the body. Like wheat, you can make just about anything with soy.
Rice: The most popular plant voted for and current president of the greenhouse. Good at speeches and wants to end the war, recession and create a viable public health care option. Also popular with azns.
Tomatoes: They're actually a fruit, not a veggie. Taste good and great cooked or raw.
Tea: Discedo needs it's fix man.
Aloe: Soothing and versatile plant. Good for making you feel better.
Oranges: Will have to be kept warm you scurvy dogs.
Random Herbs: Are you going to Scarborough fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme...
Cotton: Good for medical and textile purposes!
A Massive Venus Flytrap: New resident of the Discedo greenhouse. They're always cute when they're small...

Second order of business is about who works in the greenhouse. I know there are players who've expressed an interest but I, being the utter failsauce that I am, haven't gotten around to getting down exactly who is working there.
So, if you want your character to work or have been working in the greenhouse, leave their name, LJ screenname, what they do/would be doing, and a way for me to contact you for OMG PLOTTINGS YESSSS PRECIOUSSSS~~~

So, with that out of the way let's move on to more pressing matters. During the wish event thanks to Yuuko, Yorda has got a shit-ton more seeds. But since I am too lazy to research more about plants want your valuable input on what should grow, I'm gonna ask:
What new plants does Discedo want?
I'll pick the top five most popular/interesting/fucking random plants to add to soy beans (yay good for shitty dustbowl Disco~) and wheat. HAVE AT IT.
Decision made
here.
So in addition to:
Apples
Pears
Figs
Disco Fruits
Grapes
Watermelons
Carrots
Potatoes
Strawberries
these new nummies will be added to the list:
Wheat
Soybeans
Rice (Were actually going to have to make rice paddies or something in the park :])
Tomatoes
Tea
Aloe
Oranges
Random Herbs (Suggestions?)
Cotton
