This is absolutely fantastic; it's just so real, and so raw. Your characterisations are immensely good, and, more importantly, believable.

I love the emotion in Dougie, particularly. Yes, he's not quite as central as Tom, or even Danny, but you're doing a damn fine job of keeping him present, in spirit as well as in body. Great linkage between them.

And your imagery is wonderful, too. I adored the dream/real life beach scene. So beautiful, it's beyond words.
