:) it'd be such an experience, even if i don't believe in god/am agnostic and ambiguous. it'd just be so cool. too bad many are surrounded by scary opium farmers.
But we don't seem to think that other living things are important.
heheh, I do. I never want to kill bugs, or even hurt plants. If there's a spider or insect or some kind of bug in my house, I always want to set it free. And I hate it when bugs die on their backs, because they died with a never ending struggle to get back on their feat, so whenever I see a bug struggling on its back, I try and flip it over. I'm really sensitive to all living things.
Just so you know, the deer don't just "die." They run away into the nearest forest area and start eating plants over there. But deforestation keeps moving moer and more deer places, and so you get a ton of deer in one little section of the forest, and then they end up on roads, getting hit by cars, or sometimes starving to death. Oh, and did I mention Environmental Systems is a really depressing class?
i know. but i didn't want to get into a longwinded description. we all are aware of what happens to the deer, esp. in oakton, where they die by the forklift loads. It's really sort of sick.
Thaaaat's why i didn't take it ;) because i don't really want to learn more about the rape of the planet and whatnot. ignorance=BLISS.
One of my friends is of a religion that doesn't allow gift giving for birthdays and Christmas. At first I was upset by this, because I wanted to be able to give her gifts then, but then I thought about it. With her religion, it seems to me that a person needs a reason to give or get a gift, and holidays are simply excuses for people to give gifts and not feel guilty about receiving them. Nowadays there isn't really a reason for giving or getting a gift on Christmas or your birthday, you just get or give because it's that day/season. It's just become a custom of today's society.
yeah. i just don't like how automatic things are now. love is so not spontaneous at all. i am sort of sick of the stasis of life. hugs don't require giftwrap.
