Holy shit, so first off- Victoria's Secret MUST be working the confidence of girls in order to sell more bras ( Read more... )

No, because there's no way I'm a 38 A. :-p The issue is that the cup sizes are relative to the bust size, so a 36 B is nearly the same size as a 34 C. If your bust size has gone down but your boobs have stayed the same, they'll turn into Ds from Cs, and you'll be like "WTF?!" but it probably means you just lost weight and they're essentially the same size. (This happened to me except the other way.)

That first sentence is supposed to be "No, they don't do that measurement changing thing, because..." I'm actually a 36B/34C depending on how fit I am at the moment.

Yeah, like so and so said, it depends a lot on both the cup size and measurement. Bras sizes vary so much depending on brand, too. I find it all sort of annoying. All women in the world, apparently into one of six or seven sized boobs? Whatever.

hmmm.. for me it's the other way around - I'm a 36 C in my favorite bra style ever, which is from Victoria's Secret, while most other places I go I'm a 34 or 36 D.

I'm terribly addicted to this bra style though. Ever since I discovered it a year and a half ago I haven't bought anything else. It's the most comfortable bra I've ever worn, and it goes with pretty much any style of top, and it looks good! I think I have it in like 4 colors now.

Also, a friend of mine who technically wears a larger cup size/bust size than me is most definitely not larger than me. We've gone bra shopping together before and gotten into this sort of discussion - it really is a combo of how you're built (do your boobs attach firmly to you chest or do they push forwards or are they farther up or down or towards the center or your sides, etc.), how big around your ribcage is, and how much volume your boobs take up.

So in conclusion, I think that just going by cup size is really deceptive. Sorry to go on and on about it, though.

I dunno, I mean D cups really don't seem that big sometimes, and other times C-cups look huuuuge.

And yeah, it's kind of weird depending on the store. V's S 36D fits just right, but Jockey and measuring patterns say I'm a 36DD.

My boobs grow and shrink depending on the time of month. Does anybody else have this problem? Fuck bras. We should all be wearing corsets.
