I've come to terms with it. I'm going to stop hating the Cubs. I... I know. It's just... you have to respect that line-up and pitching staff they have. On paper, it's just about the best in baseball.

So from now on, I wish them the best. Well, unless they're playing the White Sox.

look, i think the whole rivalry thing is stupid anyway. maybe that's because i never learned to play baseball, and never even really sat through a game until a couple years ago. regardless, welcome to the world of non-partisan baseball enjoyment. who am i kidding? you love this game far more than i do. anyways, the cubs are frustrating simply because they've got an amazing lineup on paper, but they're pretty much doomed to languish at ~9 games behind, simply cos st. louis is at a yankees-like level of untouchability this year.
