DeadAIM users, take heed: there's a new kid on the block. A free, more powerful, open-source customizer. www.aimutation.com. I have yet to find anything wrong with it, other than it doesn't work with the newest build of AIM, but neither did DeadAIM, and AIM 5.5x eats ass anyway. And how can you argue with open-source? Yes, I think it is.

Open-source means that the code that makes this application work is open and available to the general public. Anyone who knows the language that it's written in can take it, modify it, make it better, etc. Open-source software actually relies on this, to advance the utility and make it something that everyone can benifit from using. I think the most prevalent example of open-source software is Linux, just because it's an operating system.
