I think the Disc is better without guns. I think the Roundworld must have corrupted itself such a long time ago, it doesn't even notice. I'm happier without that power in my hands, and maybe all you Roundworlders would be too.

McCullen is still unconscious. I did get out, thanks to a friend I was locked up with. Whatever punishment your warden deems suitable, I'll accept it.

He's locked me in zero for the week, and taken his leave from the Barge, I think, to deliver something I asked of him. I... will accept any further punishment from you or Martha Jones.

It had nothing to do with him. This... is going to sound ridiculous to a Roundworlder, but talk to Edward, he has experience. The gun... it made me feel powerful, invincible, like nothing could get in my way. McCullen didn't even deliberately get in my way, we just ran into each other in the dark and he was holding me up. I lost control.... I was never in control, and shot him. Edward said the guns could drive you mad. I didn't listen to him, and they did.
