Kyuhyun spotted him once, on his lunch break from work, sitting quietly on the bench in the park he himself had always liked. He truely loved that bench. The world always seemed so peaceful when he sat there, with the shade from the nearby tree shielding him from the harsh heat of the midday sun, the breeze gently caressing his face and the muted chirping of nearby birds. It was idyllic, otherworldly so, in the city of noise and pollution, hundreds of bustling people always franticly rushing to somewhere, to even have a small area of blissful peace was unheard of.

And now his own private seclusion had been invaded, who knows what un-benchworthy habits this stranger had, what city evils he'd bring with him. He might have loud headphones, or an incessantly ringing phone or god help him smoke a cigarette and pollute the wonderfully rare fresh air.

Kyuhyun was having none of that. Maybe if he went and sat down, exuding male territorial pheromones or something, the other would get uncomfortable, feel crowded and leave him alone with his bench.

The Plan -since he was proud of it's craftiness it deserved a capital- was not an overwhelming success. Once Kyuhyun had sat down, nonchalantly, but none the less sub textually screaming solitude, the other didn't even move or seem to acknowledge his presence at all. This did give him a chance to size up his opponent however, and he really didn't seem as threatening as he first thought.

In fact he hadn't uttered a sound since he'd discovered him, and there was no sign whatsoever of any 'bench offences'. He sat with his head hung, the thick dark hair obscuring his face and Kyuhyun could almost have believed he was sleeping.

Deflating significantly, he supposed he could let the stranger stay for today, he really wasn't ruining the peaceful scenery at all and Kyuhyun sat back to spent some quality time relaxing with his bench.

He was surprised to see the bench-invader again the next day, but once more while he sat, the other didn't make a sound and gradually as the week wore on, Kyuhyun accepted that he wasn't about to part from the bench any time soon, but did he really want him to?

Somehow the other's quiet steady breathing had become part of his little, not so private anymore, bubble soothing, adding an underlying rhythm that he didn't realise his self-discovered paradise was lacking. It was the human factor, bringing to life the experience, painting it with vivid technicolour, banishing the monochrome of before.

He found himself unconsciously studying his bubble-companion - what he could see of him anyway - and shocked himself even that this former impostor’s status had been so quickly elevated when the other had yet to even utter a single word. He really had the most striking hair, so befitting with the setting, like burnt autumn, dark but with flashes of lighter red and orange. Kyuhyun wondered if it would change with the seasons, so uncanny it was, and if his face was just as eye catching, all these weeks and not once had he seen his face, but the prospect spurred him on with a strange curious hope.

But he didn't think, he'd gotten complacent, just expecting the beautiful stranger to be always on the bench 'waiting' for him, and today he wasn't. His little absorbing environment chirped and idyllic-ed at him tauntingly but it wasn’t enough anymore, without his autumn man it was no longer paradise and he felt lost, desolate.

"Beautiful isn't it?"

A smile that was simply heaven. A face that rescued his world from it's spiral into blackness and he didn't need the bench anymore, it was perfect right here.

"Yes, it is."

Notes :
Once again I have virtually no dialogue, but hopefully my challenge fics aren't getting too monotonous yet? ^_^
