So, I have to ask again... What defines a service industry employee? Anyone who provides a service as opposed to manufacturing a product?

'Service Industry' generally equates to other bartenders, barback, waiters, waitresses, shot girls, etc. etc.

So what does it mean in this context? SEIU's definition (as an example) seems to cover everyone who isn't in manufacturing, including what you mentioned above.

It means exactly what I stated above. IE: bring a TIPS certification card, or a paystub from the bar or eatery you work at and you'll get in free. I really figured this was a clear-cut, universally understood concept.........
