I used to vomit during cross country events. And I once ran up the Red Rocks concert venue (kind of like "bleachers") and that promptly led to vomiting. So I feel your pain. You will improve. And the pain will diminish. And you will be proud of your performance.
I know someone that used to vomit before every track meet. EVERY TIME. But she ran and usually won. I think she was even state champion in a middle-distance event. For her it was just nerves. For you? You need to stick with it! You were just not used to the exertion. The good news is that it will only get better!
Heh. At first I thought that Josh wrote that because your icon is a big picture of his FACE. At I was like What the heck that's not Josh. And it wasn't.
Yeah. I was going to join track here at the high school, but when they were passing out the schedules, I kind of did a double take at the exterting (is that a word?) workout. I mean, I want to keep my legs where they are, and not in a hospital room.
So here's a comment by someone who threw up even BEFORE they signed up for track! :)
Yeah, yesterday was like so much easier. But that's probably because we didn't have to do the stuff on the bleachers. And we didn't have to run so much. So that was good.

Don't feel bad; it gets better.
