I’m Mrs. Lifestyles of the rich and famous
(You want a piece of me)
I’m Mrs. Oh my God that Britney’s Shameless

I’m Mrs. Extra! Extra! this just in

I’m Mrs. she’s too big now she’s too thin

If you sing it, "Ms. Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" doesn't sound as good rhythmically as "Mrs."

That's my absolute fave Brit song on the entire album. Bitch may be crazy & ugly now, but she (and her management, songwriters, etc) can still manage to put out a sick album. Now if only she'd get her damn act together and start promoting it. Oh, BritBrit.

the song appears to be about female britney being subjugated and simplified at the hands of popular culture. since the title is no doubt intended to underscore the role of her sex in society, i would think that "mrs." is an appropriate choice, with her society acting as her surrogate "husband."
still seems a little ridiculous and dramatic, and maybe indefensible for other reasons.

Hm, perhaps, valid point. Still kind of irks me that that she (or her songwriters) seem to like this, though.

it's true-- i haven't heard the song but these are really annoying lyrics. victims are too much.
and to be completely honest, i'm reading it as this great new "popular feminism" we've got going on, and i think that's pretty annoying too, although only partially socially destructive.
best of luck to brit in uncovering her essence of identity though.

Yeah I think it just goes better with the beat of the song...and although I care about women's rights, I don't care about the feminist movement, so I think chosing Mrs. would be more like you are too apathetic to fight society when it's not doing any real harm anyway. Plus I'd never push to hard to find radical ideas in pop culture, doesn't work that way.
