Story updates
On a Mission from God is proceeding, if slowly. I posted another chapter over on ffn the other day.
I also started Cave of Second Chances. It's a time travel story featuring decieved Harry and an evil Draco.
I have also updated the "My Stories" page on my blog to reflect all my posted stories. -
Prologues
I recently read this article about using prologues. It was very helpful.
Here’s what I said in response, just in case anyone cares:
Personally, I always read the prologue. I agree that if one cannot pull off a decent prologue, one should not use the device. If a prologue and first couple of chapters can’t grab my attention, then I will back out of ( Read more... ) -
writing random scenes instead of one story
Okay, I tried that whole “work on one story until you finish it” thing. It got me nowhere. I just couldn’t finish the story so I didn’t do anything else. Since I wasn’t working on them, the scenes that are in my head were evaporating before I could get them down. Well, that didn’t work. I'm trying to get this story finished, but a couple of scenes aren't letting me write them. I'm also integrating another story with it. The story was a related one and I think it would make more sense to integrate it with this one. -

New Story Posted: Disturbing Revelation
I have a short little humor fic out now called Disturbing Revelation. It's a crossover between Harry Potter (duh!) and V (a 1980s sci-fi TV series about alien reptiles who take over the Earth [there was also a remake series from 2009-11]). another story
Wrote a bit on another story. It is almost where I want it, though it is never where I wanted it to be in my head. I was really wanting to do a couple of others before this one, but when the muse strikes...
I still can't write anything longer than a short story. Oh, well. -
sci fi soul bond writing on hiatus for now... working on other stuff instead
I just can't seem to get a handle on the scene I've been trying to write. Therefore, I've started chasing a plot bunny that popped into my head at work the other day. We'll see how that goes. I have one scene done, but the next part is giving me trouble too. -

2651 words and counting... I know that's not a lot for some people, but I have trouble with story length. That's why I'm working on it. -
