Ok, so I'm heading into Chicago in 2 hours to have sushi with the ex-husband and his girlfriend; our dysfunctionality knows no bounds. Did I just make up a word? Oh, who cares. After we eat and meet up with some of her friends, we're heading to the Vic Theatre to see Great Big Sea. Can't wait. Am excited ( Read more... )

Ack, I'm jealous! We considered going to that show, but in the end settled for just the one here next month. But oh, I miss my GBS concerts! Have fun!

I hope to. I've not ever seen them live but have always loved both them and The Pogues. Right now I'm thankful for my good relationship with the ex. It's kind of strange but none of us feel awkward going out and doing things together and his girlfriend is a sweetheart.

Have fun at the concert next month!

Hey, whatever relationships work for people is cool. I grew up with (married) parents wanting to kill each other, while most of my friends had divorced parents who treated each other like human beings, so I don't think it's particularly odd. :)

You've never seen them live? Wow, you're in for a treat! There's very little I love as much as a live GBS concert. And Chicago's always good for it, they such have a great fan base there. You'll have to report back!

And thanks, I'm definitely looking forward to it. :)

We were worried about having time to catch the late train back out to Crystal Lake, so we're driving in, but I'm surely going to be full of squee and posting when I get home. I'm 34 and doing things like this always make me feel like I'm about 16 again. Concerts are like the fountain of youth, man.

I might pass the test but I still wouldn't have a plane...hehe. It's killing me not being able to come see you and MCR! What a combo. I might die of squee.

I know how rude that you have no one to go with clare lmao. I mean it's not like you asked me on our three hour train journey... and then it's not like everyone seemed to mention them on Thursday night is it lmao
