gillian was right...in hs we were always known as the "smart one" or the "dorky one" or "the fat one" or the gross one" or any unattractive names. but college changes things. ppl are now noticing who we are the way we want them to. and i can't help but feel like i need to make up for missed times. listening to everyone's experiences and stories

I think in some ways, stereotypes and standards are more common in college, just played down more. With that said, I think you should live for your own happiness and enjoyment - outside of this "ladder" of who seems prettier than who else. If you think he is genuinely interested, it might be nice to just get to know this guy anyways. Or if its cool as just a physical thing, groovy. The point is to enjoy each others company, right? If you're really not that into him, you dont have to "settle" either. Hell, no boy is perfect, but the least he should do is make you happy.
