I'm just gonna get this outta the way: Obama's VP choice was a shameless plea. That's right, I said it.

You know, people talk about McCain's choice of Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin being a desperate attempt to get former Sen. Hillary Clinton supporters to cross party lines and vote for Sen. McCain. Pandering?!? Hogwash and balderdash!

Oh, I like it now that I know it was on purpose. I sometimes get caught out editing something mid-sentence and then discover I've left some huge mistake in a post...I assumed it was something like that.

...usually, it's a preposition that doesn't fit the new phrasing in front of the revised preposition for the new phrase.

Actually, the "G" "-resident..." started as an attempt to figure out if "George W. Bush" or "President Bush" worked better. And as I went to change it, it struck me as funny to leave it incongruous on purpose. It seemed to clarify the point of view of the "writer" and the satirical tone of the actual writer.
