We found a new apartment just at the right time! It's a one bedroom, with wood floors, built-ins, and plenty of windows. It's on the first floor of a house that allows pets and has a shaded front porch. I am very excited about getting this place our rent will only increase 20 dollars, but it includes laundry! Now, I am not always the most ethical person, nor do I even entirely understand ethics..But, I do not want to support a loved one's addiction. I picked up a shift tonight. I spent fifteen dollars yesterday on a six pack of beer and some drinks at the bar. Am I crazy? I just got home from work and someone called to ask if I wanted to come in for them at five. I said yes! I've hustled plenty of shifts this week already. I planned to read my book and lay around the house this evening. Hopefully I can snag a shift tomorrow night too, and then I will have taken 7 shifts from people ! Sweet.

We invited my friend over for dinner last night. I think she was impressed with what I made: Bruschetta, chicken piccatta, and prosciutto wrapped asparagus. All very simple but warming.
