Why "Ashley"? Prompt

Jun 22, 2010 11:29

Submitter: mayIreadtoday
Idea: (I believe that) in England "Ashley" is in fact a man's name or at least it used to be. Why would Helen "Brit to the core" name her daughter "Ashley" ?
Notes: I'm open to any response from Helen expected a boy to Ashley is really a boy.
Available for comm challenges(Y/N): Y

I've been thinking about this prompt and it occured to me that Helen may have frozen the embryo without knowing the gender. So she just chose a name that would work for a girl or a boy.

Not really enough of an idea for a full fic, but it's my theory. :D
