Very interesting! I suppose Spike hasn't really thought about his two unpalatable alternatives yet - either Angel gets old and dies, or Spike vamps him, and gets stuck with Angelus for eternity....

Nice! The unsouled Spike is always an interesting option to explore, and here he is being... well, Spike!

Good to see what you're doing with Angel too, but I can't see at all how they're going to be anything other than fellow prisoners in this not-luxurious cell. And I can't read section six till this evening. Woe!

I always thought the non-souled Spike wasn't all that very different from the souled one. The last two chapters will be waiting for you when you have time for them. :-)

Poor guys! It's lose and lose and lose all around. Even the crumbs they have are just a mockery, because the end, when it comes, is not going to release them.
Unless since it's the human way for Angel, in the end at least he won't be going to hell. Big fat consolation.

It is a very desperate situation. They do have each other, at least, for now, anyway.
