And if the one broke their hearts comes back, they take them back. Perhaps because of the person's ability to persuade, his/her remorse(or what she/he thought was remorse) and then before the heartbroken party notices it, they've been reeled in again, captured--no, captivated, by the same person again, believing and hoping that this time the love will last.
And then, the heartbreaker, leaves them again, for another. Just because they "don't feel it anymore." (Don't feel the love---feels the thumping of their heart for another) Just like that.
