In this day and age, we have cameras set up throughout our cities, monitoring intersections,toll booths, ATMS, and store interiors. the simplest solution is a ski-mask. but perhaps a more clever idea would be lights. Those cameras are all set to auto-adjust the brightness. So if you have a bunch of bright lights around your face, it's going to crank your face down to black to compensate.

If you wanted to be especially clever... Most of those cameras are getting their lighting cues off UV or IR. You could use LEDs tuned to non-visible wavelengths of each that would cause the cameras to dark you out while leaving humans puzzled as to why you were a shadow.

Hmm. That might actually be rather fun to build and test. I'll put it on my list. :)
